Volunteer Information

Volunteers are a critical part of a successful tournament. From hospitality to hole marshals, volunteers make the experience memorable, enjoyable and most importantly, impactful. There are multiple committees to choose from including Admissions/Ambassadors, On-Course Services, and Hole Marshal. There are a variety of shifts and days available during the tournament week. Golf knowledge is not a requirement to participate!

 

Volunteer Benefits:

In exchange for a $50 registration fee and valued time, each volunteer will receive the following:

 

  • (1) One Tournament Logo Polo.

  • (1) One Tournament Logo Hat.

  • Meals for each volunteer shift(s).

  • (2) Two Full Tournament GA Grounds Passes.

  • Opportunity for round of golf @ FCC for Volunteer Appreciation in September. Specific date is TBD. (ONLY available if you volunteer 12+ hours).

  • Ability to purchase additional Polos or Hats during Tournament Week.

Volunteer Committees 

Marshals

Maintain walkways throughout the golf course, provide gallery control and assist with player evacuation from the golf course should the tournament have a weather delay. Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Operational Dates: Friday, June 21st (Celeb - Am Day – Open to the public. More of a practice day for Marshals.)Saturday, June 22nd – Sunday, June 23rd (Celebrity Rounds)

 

Standard Bearer

Record accurate hole-by-hole information for each player in group and transmit this information to Scoring Central via handheld computers. Assist Standard Bearer keep the correct score on the standard. Golf knowledge is necessary to work this committee. Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Operational Dates: Saturday, June 22nd – Sunday, June 23rd (Celebrity Rounds)

 

 

VIP Hospitality/Special Events

Ensure only those with proper credentials are admitted into the clubhouse and the on-course hospitality venue. Checking credentials and tickets along with wrist banding guests for proper venues. Act as concierge for VIP guests. Areas of focus will be the FCC Clubhouse, Fan Zone and Chalets on the 18th Green. Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Operational Dates: Thursday, June 20th – Sunday, June 23rd 

 

Admissions/Ambassadors

Check tickets and credentials at various admission gates. Volunteers will use scanners to scan tickets and credential barcodes upon entrance.  Issue and manage tickets at Will Call that are left for spectators or professionals. Sell tickets for walk up sales. Provide general information to spectators. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Transportation

Transporting volunteers and sponsors to the Main Entrance. You will be driving a 4-6 passenger golf cart and may need to help with Emergency Evacuation on the course in case of inclement weather. Must be 18 years of age or older.

On-Course Services

Stock and deliver on-course refreshments and ice to the tee boxes. Assist with package delivery and sponsor deliverables. Requiring heavy lifting and manual labor, must consider physical demands of lifting and being active. Will work in teams throughout the day. Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Operational Dates: Friday, June 21st – Sunday, June 23rd

 

Patron Information

Help greet and direct patrons, assist with digital pairing sheets, answer questions, and assist at entrances. Volunteers will be working Thursday through Sunday at all Public Entrances and all main patron crossing points. Assist with educating and remaindering fans of health and safety policies and procedures that are in place during tournament week.
